Hi,

It’s so nice to be here, 2020 what a year! I want to start by thanking you for supporting the humble beginnings of our shop, I realize we may have not yet met, so I wanted to start by introducing myself, my name is Carolina Ciappa, mostly know as Ciappa! I am originally from Brazil but for the last 10 years I am lucky to call California home, I am a Denim Designer with a passion for vintage everything and ceramics.

 My Goal when I started I A I A I - Atelier in the middle of this crazy Pandemic was to have a place where I could share things I like and make, curated items, ceramics, anything really, but looking around my community of friends I realized that it could be much more than only about me.

Having a career In Design, I am blessed to be around so many talented people and I believe many had a similar reaction to what I experienced, being unemployed and in quarantine or working from home and being away from the world we previously knew, many friends also stepped up and instead of shutting down they started creating something unique and exciting! 

So I understood that I A I A I stands for community, and we will be highlighting different makers and help supporting their work and creativity by selling in our shop, amplifying their voices.

I am so pleased to announce our first Artist Spotlight! I had a chance to chat with LA based, fellow designer and amazing ceramicist Chelsea Scott, from Broken Yolk Ceramics, check it out her fun pieces in the shop!
